Connect Claude or Copilot over MCP

Let your AI assistant read projects, create work items, and update statuses via Karmo's MCP server.

What is MCP integration?

AI · 4 min read · Updated 29 May 2026

Karmo exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so AI assistants like Claude and GitHub Copilot can read your projects, create work items, and update statuses on your behalf — directly from your AI tool's chat interface.

Connect Claude via MCP

1

Generate an MCP token

Go to Settings → Integrations → MCP. Click Generate token. Copy the token — it won't be shown again.

2

Add Karmo as an MCP server in Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Integrations → Add MCP server. Paste your Karmo MCP endpoint URL and token. Save.

Scope: The MCP token gives Claude access only to the projects and workspaces you select during setup — not your entire account.

3

Start asking questions

In Claude, try: "What's the status of the Redesign project?" or "Create a high-priority task for the API team: Fix auth timeout." Claude will confirm before writing anything.
